Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Based on Samples delivered and the Detailed Package, creates a Component list of items that need to be produced including material, quantity, dimensions and process steps
Creates paperwork for equipment in the Machine Shop to support the manufacturing process
Creates a MDP Package complete with Sample sign off sheet, Component List, Panel Saw, CNC and Table Saw paperwork, Detail Package if the job is a rerun and any Rework Paperwork that has been issued.
Establishes the panel saw priorities based on MPS, Machine Shop Schedule, material availability and work center capacity.
Yields material and places an order with the warehouse to have the material delivered to the Machine Shop.
Converts existing CNC Programs created by Detailing into a format suitable for the Komo machine to use.
Creates Vacuum programs when vacuum is being utilized as a method of holding the raw material to the equipment.
Optimizes programs to ensure the most efficient manufacturing methods are being utilized.
Determines method of clamping (Vacuum, Tape, jig, etc. )
Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.
Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to machine part.
Modifies if necessary.
Modifies programs upon feedback from Production to improve cutting times and / or quality.
Works closely with Production to ensure programs are available when the parts arrive from the tile line.
Revises program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
Array’s / nests components to maximize machine run time and material usage. Minimum target for run time is 20 minutes or more.
Communicates with Detailing / Model Shop for any discrepancies between program and Signed Sample and for the location of the latest CNC files if they cannot be located in the Vault
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills Required :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Solid knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD, Solid Works and ToolPath Design software.
Must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds
