Tiercon is an automotive supplier committed to the manufacture of quality exterior and interior trim and bumper systems used as original equipment in the automotive markets.
Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have moulding, painting and assembly capability, employing approximately 650 people throughout 5 Canadian facilities, and 1 US facility.
Tiercon is seeking a knowledgeable, self directed, experienced and hard working individual interested in the automotive industry as Lean Facilitator at our Stoney Creek facility.
Reporting to the VP & GM, the Lean Facilitator is responsible to work with all Managers to develop a strategic plan to implement and support lean manufacturing principles.
Your principal duties and responsibilities as Lean Facilitator will include :
In conjunction with the Sr. Managers, lead the development and implementation of a lean strategic plan to support lean manufacturing principles.
Develop, organize and facilitate lean manufacturing training in all facilities at all levels.
In conjunction with local Managers, facilitate the implementation, monitoring and verification of lean manufacturing principles in the facilities
Assist the local Managers with facility layouts in efforts to increase plant efficiencies.
Work with local Managers to identify, select and facilitate continuous improvement activities.
Develop, implement and track a lean dashboard to drive the successful implementation of lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization.
Support and demonstrate leadership with all health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
Provide lean leadership and support to all process leaders
Participate in any Automation and Technology implementation and upgrades.
Support local Managers with the development of annual capital budgets to support approved lean initiatives.
Qualification Requirements :
University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or closely related technical field
Training : Advanced Lean Manufacturing, Management / Supervisory, Business Financial, Project Management
Demonstrated working knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Poke Yoke, Kanban, Andon, Value Stream Mapping, Total Productive Maintenance, Waste Elimination
Minimum 10 years of experience facilitating lean training and initiatives in a manufacturing environment, Minimum 5 years of Management experience in a manufacturing environment
