About This Opportunity
Tantallon Community Medical Clinic is looking for a family medicine physician to join their collaborative group practice of 7 family physicians, a family practice nurse, a diabetic nurse educator, an insulin start nurse, a urologist and a same day / after-hours clinic.
The clinic has a fully integrated Accuro EMR system, and offers a bright and cheerful atmosphere with professionally managed and courteous support staff who cover all aspects of administration including billing.
Tantallon Community Medical Clinic offers a supportive team environment, competitive overhead and flexible working hours.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
Act as a patient’s advocate
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
The clinic is seeking a locum to cover a 1.0 FTE, APP (Alternate Payment Plan) physician beginning in November 2019 for at least 3 months, with possibility for extension.
Hours are flexible with no weekend or on call work.
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
