The position is within GO-2 (Game Operations Online), a team whose role is to offer products and services to the productions in order to facilitate the development and the Game As A Service.

It is in this perspective that GO-2 collaborates with several major productions (e.g. Rainbow 6, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance ...)

At GO-2, we produce a tool that provides a complete automation API for gateway APIs : creating virtualized environments, configuring load-

balancer, DNS, firewall, automated deployment, Monitoring tools, application of safety rules, etc.... Integrated in a development team in the GO2 group, the incumbent will participate in the development of various modules and functionalities for existing or new services, based mainly on Python and Docker technology.

Technology :

Our tool must also integrate with several internal APIs at Ubisoft.

Special attention is paid to best development practices (continuous integration / deployment, code review, peer programming, micro-services architecture)

Mission :

The main and routine tasks of the web tools programmer are to :

  • Compile and understand IT development needs and their feasibility in an effort to serve the interests of the production teams;
  • Suggest enhancements by designing and implementing new systems;
  • Validate and verify whether the newly developed systems meet project intentions and are coherent with the current system and optimize whenever required;
  • Support the functions and systems designed for production;
  • Determine and correct the bugs identified by other working units and the quality control team;
  • Document the work in order to transfer knowledge and enable users in other working units to understand the new system and functions;
  • Carry out all other related tasks.
  • Training :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in python programming.
