This position mainly involves structured research, gathering and normalization of information related to electronic components as well as onboarding, management and standardization of this data into our Product Content Management System via several user web interfaces (Hybris Backoffice, Content Management Tools, Web Loading Applications, Data Management Interfaces, and Adobe Photoshop Suite).
The role will continually and dynamically interact with internal departments such as Product Marketing and Supplier Champions as well as external partners such as Suppliers, supplier s technicians, and engineers part of the ongoing management and expansion of the FE Product Catalogue.
Understanding of the e-commerce product onboarding and enrichment flows is centric to understanding the mandate and placing the role in the context of the corporate infrastructure.
Quantitative and qualitative strength as well as refined analytical skills are necessary in order to work with large data sets and technical specs, manipulate and coordinate the product information in a timely fashion towards publishing goals and ensure completion deadlines are met for seamless content production.
The work of the eCommerce Product Content Lead will impact real-time the information displayed on the Corporate Website and provide support to online Customers in selecting their purchases therefore accuracy and quality are key.
Parts search and specifications gathering
Select a Component Datasheet and all related technical specs from a Supplier Website
Research a Datasheet to retrieve information on determined data points (electrical characteristics or attributes) and create content
Assist Product Marketing units in setting product enrichment standards and apply across various categories of components
Enter Attribute Values in the Product Content database using the web backoffice modules
Create Part Descriptions in line with set standards and by utilized available knowledge database
Crop, edit, load and replicate product images and maintain our image library as well as liaise with our suppliers to get access and work with their online image assets
Assist with, Review & Revise as needed categorization of components and placement in the Catalogue
Research, Select or Build adequate and relevant product collateral
Ability to work with Product Marketing to identify product relationships, crosses and upsell and create such inter-dependency on the product pages
Reviews of product categories or content across product series and execute any ensuing actions to cleanse and normalize
Product Enrichment (media, collateral, part inter-relating)
Audit of the product content available on FE.com and any related microsites
Work with third parties content and data services companies to oversee content onboarding
Qualifications and Experience
College Diploma, Technician Certificate an asset (mechanical, electrical, electronics)
2 to 5 year experience in a digital environment, ideally in content coordination and creation
Studies and / or experience with technical and quantitative work preferred
Intermediate to advanced soft skills (Excel, Photoshop and Web Browsing & Search, hybris SAP Backoffice an asset)
