Our client, a very successful multi-faceted real estate developer and landlord, is looking for an energetic Real Estate Law Clerk to join their in-house legal department!

Located in Mississauga, close to the 401, our client has developed a reputation as the preeminent provider of site selection, design, construction, leasing, and property management services.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work with a tight-knit legal team in a dynamic work environment with low turnover!

Hours : 9-5 (no OT / Weekends)

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Purchase / Sale / Financing Transactions conducting title searches and due diligence searches in commercial real estate purchase, sale and financing transactions, preparing documents (including e-reg documents), coordinating closings, reporting and preparing record books
  • Maintaining property files and title records for the company‚Äôs extensive portfolio of industrial and office properties
  • Coordinating completion of development documentation relating to commercial subdivisions and site plan agreements and satisfying title related conditions imposed by the municipality
  • Key Requirements :

  • Large law firm real estate experience preferred, but will consider other relevant backgrounds
  • Title search knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent written / communication / proofreading skills with a superior attention to detail
