About the role :
Every summer, Cadets attend youth summer camps to expand on their training and to network with Cadets from across Canada.
These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the campers.
Primary Care Physicians are needed to perform physical examinations, diagnosis and manage common health conditions, performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, counselling patients on preventive health care and facilitating access to health services and referrals.
Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.
These roles are best suited to Primary Care Physicians with flexibility in their schedules to commit to working one to eight weeks every summer in the camps, with the opportunity to return yearly to the role.
