Siemens is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for Trench Limited (a Siemens company). The Trench group is a specialized manufacturer of high voltage equipment dedicated to serving the worldwide electrical industry, in both utility and industrial markets, through engineering, service and commitment.
Develop, set up, improve and lead warehouse and shipping processes including introduction of SAP WH management in line with the company's policies and vision
Manage a warehouse with 2 main locations and various production storages and Kanban supplies including complete incoming goods and shipping process
Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventories are accurate to maintain the integrity of the facility through cycle counts, annual inventories and various audits
Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
Set up ABCXYZ classification for all parts
Achieve the daily manufacturing goals using space and efficiently handling mechanical equipment to ensure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
Plan future capacity requirements; prepare inventory reports on slow moving and obsolete inventory and bring them to resolution
Motivate and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded by recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Warehouse and Inventory Management
Extensive knowledge of SAP, especially WH management module and IT skills, particularly database management and spreadsheets;
Experience with cycle counts, Kanban counts and replenishment
Knowledge of all shipping / receiving functions and the legal requirements of operating a warehouse;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team of people; including the ability to delegate work and explain ideas;
Proven project management, planning and organizing skills;
Analytical ability with problem-solving skills and able to work on a tactical and strategic level;
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
