Our Team

The Role :

Our platform enables greater access to education and we are looking for an experienced, security minded and dedicated Sr.

DevOps Engineer to join our fast growing Research & Development Team.

We are looking for someone who thrives off autonomy and has a passion for improving the development environment for software engineers.

The focus of this role will be building tools to automate processes and create efficiencies with the deployment of our software application and take our platform to the next level! This role will provide a lot of room for growth and potential leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, deploy, document, configure, and maintain our infrastructure in the cloud
  • Setup streamlined development environments that allow our developers to work more effectively and efficiently
  • Migrate a traditional deployment system to a container orchestration based system
  • Create automated server provisioning, deployment, and upgrade processes
  • Keep infrastructure secure by implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Work closely with the development team
  • Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
  • Continuously research and implement innovative cutting-edge technologies that will improve the ApplyBoard platform
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of DevOps experience
  • Deep understanding of software security
  • Experience with integration and deployment tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet
  • Extensive experience with container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with AWS services, especially ECS and EKS
  • Experience with Linux infrastructures, DBMSs, CI / CD tools, scripting languages, Scrum / Kanban / SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and microservices architecture
