The Manager, Marketing Technology reports directly to the Senior Manager, Marketing Automation within the Global Marketing Operations team and will play an integral role in the strategic development, execution and management of the Marketing Technology Stack at OpenText.

Working with the Senior Manager, this position will be a key business partner for the functional marketing teams and serve as a critical link between Marketing Operations, Marketing functional stakeholders and IT.

You are great at :

Strategy Development (40%) assists with developing & planning the overall strategy for marketing technology- Identifies and prioritizes enhancements for core marketing systems & technology-

Owns backlog development & management- Stays up to date on data & technology changes that can impact marketing performance-

Proactively identifies solutions to fill key technology gaps Execution (40%) ensure Marketing Operations is working on projects that are aligned with marketing goals-

Prioritizes work within each project stream- Manages UAT- Assists with vendor relationship management and contracts with Procurement & -

Marketing stakeholders as required- Maintain documents outlining all Marketing Technology in use, their business cases, owners and other relevant details Stakeholder Management (20%) independently builds relationship with marketing stakeholders-

Maintains a thorough understanding of each function’s objectives and needs- Advocates for technology enhancements / changes across the organization to drive marketing goals-

Partners, along with other GMOPS leadership, to ensure marketing technology objectives are met- Leads backlog development & planning with the Marketing Operations team-

Key point of contact for requirements and questions

What it takes :

  • Possess at a minimum a degree or diploma (3- or 4-year program) in Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 8+ years’ professional work experience including digital marketing or marketing technology experience
  • Excellent business acumen along with research and analysis skills and the ability to make connections between business needs & technology requirements
  • Ability to summarize business results clearly and concisely using Microsoft PowerPoint or other tools.
  • Relationship building and change management skills in potential high stress environments
  • Detail oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, etc.), Marketing Attribution Platform (Brightfunnel, LeadData, etc.
  • and / or Salesforce knowledge a definite plus
