We're looking for an accomplished Human Resources professional to join our team. In this role you'll be supporting our Engineering team in all aspects of employee relations.

Tasks to be Accomplished

Recruitment

  • Manage and coordinate all recruitment functions including, marketing strategy, applicant screening, as well as monitor labor markets, and staffing needs
  • Manage and coordinate new hires including letters of offer, and orientation program
  • Benefits

  • Manage, coordinate, administrate employee benefits programs including RRSP, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Life, Health, Dental, EAP
  • Compensation

  • Ensures implementation of corporate Human Resources policies & programs.
  • Provides advice to management on their effective application so as to motivate & retain staff
  • Policy & Systems
  • Develop job descriptions
  • Policy & Systems

  • Provide guidance and assistance to line management and employees of HR policy and procedure
  • Monitor, and counsel management on legislative compliance
  • Employee Relations

  • Provide employee assistance
  • Provide employment verification where required
  • Employee communication including notice boards, suggestion box, day to day questions, coordination of social functions etc.
  • Manage and coordinate employee terminations and resignations including termination and exit interviews, and all other related administration
  • Performance Management

  • Manage and coordinate performance of training programs
  • Training

  • Implement and coordination of training programs
  • Health & Safety

  • Health & Safety including workers compensation compliance, and accident reporting / monitoring; guidance and assistance to management
  • Programs

  • HR Programs and projects as required
  • Manage and coordinate Ethics Program
  • Administration & Recordkeeping

  • HR reporting to line management and head-office as required
  • Ensure confidentiality of all HR functions and information is maintained
  • Skills Required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good computers skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience & Education Requirements

  • 5 years HR experience preferably in an Engineering environment
  • University degree
  • CHRP is an asset
