Responsibilities :

  • Maintain an accurate, organized system of mortgage files and loan data, updating as needed and ensuring documents adhere to established firm requirements;
  • this includes producing and completing a file checklist, and compiling report of files as needed

  • Prepare various documentation critical to loan process (ie. commitment letters, disclosure documents, Payout Statements, Mortgage Statements)
  • Keep record of mature mortgages and outstanding items
  • Complete document renewals or discharge as needed
  • Review and process mortgage-related documentation while ensuring compliance with funding procedures and requirements stated in the commitment letter, and overall company policies
  • Correspond with various internal and external parties including brokers, borrowers, investors, lawyers, year-end auditors, and management team, while building strong relationships and ensuring regular and informative follow-up as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date insight on real estate market, knowledge of all applicable underwriting guidelines and loan policies, and provide information to parties as needed
  • Requirements :

  • 5+ years' experience working in mortgage administration
  • Post-secondary education
  • Strong knowledge of current real estate market
  • Superior client service experience and proven success in building positive relationships
  • Exceptional organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel knowledge is an asset)
  • Previous experience with Quickbooks
  • Strong typing speed and data entry skills
