Title : Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

What is the opportunity?

You are a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with proven skills testing systems by using automation at all tiers (user interface, services and data processing) combined with an exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate in a multi-

disciplinary team to produce systems that are testable and well tested.

What will you do?

  • As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer for Global Research Technology team, you will be involved in testing and automation, while thinking outside the box to create innovation solutions to complex problems.
  • Prepare test plans and test cases based on Business Analysis and system designs.
  • Manage the design, development of testing specifications, data analysis, and execution. Apply software configuration management discipline to test scripts.

  • Support all test activities. Develop, enhance and execute manual and automated test scripts, record test results and track software discrepancies.
  • Design, document, and implement test automation so there is broad functional test coverage.
  • Work with project stakeholders and developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality.
  • Ensure domain knowledge and test cases are articulated and structured well to enable swift execution by any other members of the QA team.
  • Facilitate resolution and communication across functional groups on issues and decisions.

    Must-have :

    Ability to increase usage of automation to reduce testing lead times (Using OOP languages like Java / C# or scripting languages like Perl / Python) and experience using test automation tools.

    Robot Framework, VeriFIX, JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG)

  • Experience testing SQL database code (stored procs, etc.) and validating large datasets.
  • Hands on experience with version control tools (e.g. GIT, SVN, TFS) and continuous integration / deployment tools (e.g.
  • Jenkins, Ansible, UrbanCode, BMC BladeLogic).

  • Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes.
  • Ability to generate test cases from requirements and technical specifications.

    Nice-to-have :

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working on agile projects
  • Experience testing mobile applications
  • Understanding of NoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB
  • Experience in the financial industry, especially securities related businesses
