Reporting to the VP, SMB Sales and assuming a pivotal position on the sales leadership team for this region, the Sales Manager of New Business will be responsible for directing and executing the company’s sales strategy for new business acquisition and growth within SMB business unit.
Responsible for driving revenue growth, this role will act as a key sales interface tasked with growing revenue across all geographic and vertical segments.
You are versed in third party distribution, an effective coach and a sales leader who consistently meets or exceeds quota.
Functional Responsibilities include :
Develop and refine sales strategies and execute the tactical implementation of the plans across the company’s service and product offerings
Coach and mentor members of the sales team in order to continually improve team and individual sales proficiency
Take a major role in strategic accounts in order to build relationships, negotiate complex contracts and close deals that result in new partnerships
Establish sales metrics and KPI’s in order to enhance the sales process within SF.com
Implement formal planning and evaluation activities through the delivery of Quarterly Business Reviews
Interact with marketing to enhance the sales readiness of the NAM team (New Business Account Managers)
Participate in the company’s strategic road map planning
Competency Profile :
Results oriented with a history of achieving or exceeding plan over the last 4-5 years, ideally in a technology software or services environment
An effective leader who communicates clear priorities and sense of direction in a constantly evolving business environment
A leader who achieves revenue targets by building internal relationships and fostering collaboration across all department functions
Customer oriented sales professional who continually strives to provide his / her clients with the highest degree of personalized and efficient service
Technology enthusiast who has a background in security, cloud and SaaS
A respected leader and coach who attracts top performing sales professionals and builds high performing teams
Preferred Experience / Education
10 years’ progressive sales leadership experience with at least 5 in a technology company heavily focused on security, cloud, SaaS or services.
A University Degree in Business. M.B.A preferred.
A sophisticated understanding of the processes and metrics required to build a high performing sales team.
Special Note : Occasional travel outside of Ottawa is anticipated.
