Intent of the process
The intent of this selection process is to staff part-time determinate positions with the
possibility of extension, indeterminate positions and / or full-time positions. A pool of qualified candidates will also be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with different tenures, various linguistic profiles, and various security profiles at various Research Data Centres across Canada.

Information you must provide
In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
Graduation with a Master degree* or a PhD from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.
An acceptable combination of education, training and / or relevant experience in a health-related field of study such as epidemiology, health sciences or health services research, or in a social-
related field such as psychology, geography or demography.
Alternative to the PhD, we accept candidates that have completed all of the program requires sufficient for graduation (confirmation from the university will be required).
EX1. Experience using census data, administrative data or complex surveys, such as but not limited to the Statistics Canada Household Survey data.
EX2. Experience conducting advanced quantitative analyses at the level taught in graduate-level statistics courses.
EX3. Experience in the use of Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) or STATA, in the conduct of a social science research project.
EX4. Experience in making presentations to client groups, peer groups or scientific meetings, such as presenting research findings at a conference or teaching a class.

AEX3. Significant* experience using business, organizational survey or administrative data, such as but not limited to Statistics Canada Business Microdata.
AEX4. Significant* experience in the use of SAS, SPSS or STATA, in the conduct of a social science research project.
AEX5. Experience using Statistics Canada microdata.
AEX6. Experience working with confidential or sensitive statistical information.
AEX7. Experience supervising employees, including the responsibility of their work objectives.
AEX8. Experience screening or vetting statistical output for confidentiality and data protection.
AEX9. Experience with administrative procedures and handling legal documents (for example, that are related to access to secure work space), with an emphasis on details and organizational skills.
AEX10. Experience in writing procedural documents for a variety of audiences.
AEX11. Experience with providing Information Technology (IT) support (for example, in a virtual computing environment, such as but not limited to VMware).
