Position Title - Manager, HRIS
Location of Position : Mississauga
The Manager, HRIS will report to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
The role is accountable to lead a small team, solution issues, oversee, implement and communicate enhancements ensuring data integrity and effective processes.
This role is also responsible for reports, insights and analytics to create metrics and a dashboard of people related metrics.
As a technical lead the Manager, HRIS, working with the HRIS team, is responsible for providing oversight and delivering on digitizing HR processes and metrics leveraging the HR Information System ensuring compliance and a positive end user experience.
Project Management & Leadership
Develop the HRIS strategy and roadmap
Execute projects utilizing project and change management principles meeting all time and budgetary requirements. Deliver on the approved roadmap and manage projects in accordance with agile project management principles and practices ensuring processes are streamlined, risks are mitigated and the user experience is taken into consideration.
Define the objectives and scope of projects including impacts, critical factors, responsibilities, constraints and contingencies.
Plan and assign projects with appropriate instructions and technical directions assuming primary responsibility for achieving project objectives and outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside HR. Monitor project status and work results to ensure timely progress and desired quality.
Lead the HRIS team in the delivery, enhancement and maintenance of the system. Ensure audit requirements are met, as well as IT requirements, documentation requirements and integration with downstream systems.
Participate in cross functional project teams or initiatives that impact HRIS but are outside the scope of HR
Maintain positive relationships with appropriate HR, IT, Finance, Mgmt. / Admins and third party vendors to determine enhanced offerings for current and future system functionality
Build and maintain a strong functional HRIS team through effective recruiting, training, coaching and team building.
Leverage HRIS Technology :
Support HR department to develop a strategic technological direction for new / enhanced initiatives, programs and processes related to the HRIS
Ensure appropriate monitoring / audit mechanisms are in place.
Utilize a thorough understanding of user requirements and the company’s business and its needs, work with HR, senior management and end users to identify and assess their HRIS process needs and propose efficient solutions which make appropriate use of HRIS technology.
Provide expertise in all Human Resources technology and system developments and enhancements
Keep current with developments in software and hardware technologies
Research solutions to make processes efficient and effective. Assess potential enhancements for feasibility and impact on HRIS.
Establish & monitor measures for SuccessFactors adoption and effectiveness.
Expert in Module Integration & Downstream Systems
Maintain and enhance the functionality of the HRIS solution. Support all existing modules and enhance as required, including but not limited to : Employee Central, Learning Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance and Objectives.
Requires superior understanding of how the modules work together.
Key contact and advisor on all downstream systems affected by SF data
Ensure system data integrity and audit compliance
Provide expertise on data relationships and the navigation within SF. Including the rollout of features and functionality ie.
training, change management and communications strategy.
Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors on changes and maintenance upgrades.
Manage the SF budget
Coordinate and direct the efforts of external vendors and suppliers in accordance with contractual terms and ensure compliance with established HR and company standards, specifications, practices and procedures.
Participate in contract monitoring. Persuade vendors to adopt applications and schedules beneficial to the company.
Data Analytics and Insights
Design dashboard and metrics to measure and support the HR Strategy.
Oversee data collection and maintenance of the dashboard.
Recommend and provide meaningful reports for management review based on aggregated data for the organization.
Work with HR Management team to measure & analyze key data for trend analysis
Audit system for data integrity
Training / Communications Strategy
Identify, develop and implement required SuccessFactors change management, communication and training needs for the organization
Oversee delivery of end user training and evaluate effectiveness.
Provide oversight and governance to the Success Factors team with technical documentation & training to ensure quality control and data integrity measures are in place.
