Job summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Training & Development, the Learning & Development Manager’s key responsibilities are to design, build, deploy and manage on a daily basis, the learning and development system to provide company-

wide training programs that drive business results across all Bath Fitter.

Main responsibilities

  • Partner with the Vice President of T & D to design and develop training and performance programs that target individual, departmental and company-
  • wide needs and business strategy;
  • Create and implement consistent standards for all key training and development initiatives in order to ensure that the highest level of quality of training is delivered;
  • Oversee training programs and performance improvement projects, and follow through with stakeholders;
  • Develop and improve Learning & Development processes and guidelines;
  • Assist the Vice President of Training & Development in the preparation of the Learning & Development annual plan;
  • Develop content and material for programs as needed considering local and global roll-outs;
  • Implement best-in-class practices and systems for employee’s competency onboarding, integration and talent development;
  • In collaboration with the Human Resources team, identify gaps in training needs and respond with aligned solutions and implement those solutions;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of e-learning solutions and systems, and best-practices in organizational learning;
  • Manage the daily Learning services resources (training coordinators and trainers across Canada and the USA);
  • Coordinate trainers within account to develop, deliver, and evaluate training curriculum that is current and meet L&D standards.
  • Training tools and LMS

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in digital learning trends, training tools and platforms and provide leadership in continuously exploring new and innovative approach;
  • Administer the Bath Fitter Learning Management System, including tracking metrics and scorecards, reporting on course participation, and content development.
  • Team development and engagement

  • Maximize the employee’s efficiency by setting clear expectations and focusing on their strengths;
  • Hold regular one-on-one feedback sessions with employees;
  • Create learning and growth opportunities that encourage each person to reach their full potential;
  • Involve the team in the organization’s continuous improvement;
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration on a daily basis;
  • Mobilize the team towards common goals to make Bath Fitter’s culture thrive.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Adult Education or any related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in developing learning & development strategies, programs and instructional design.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Bilingualism, French and English (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrated Skills

  • Outstanding knowledge in adult learning and development methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Proven experience interacting with or influencing executives.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management ability.
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with internal customers, using a consultative approach.
  • Technologies

  • Extensive experience with blended learning solutions (e-learning tools, online learning, web-based learning tools, etc.)
  • Experience in sourcing, implementing and managing a Learning Management System (LMS)
