Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate testing with stakeholders and oversee the testing activities in the various testing phases
  • Work with Business and Technical units to plan, develop, execute and report (status reports, meeting minutes) on software QA activities
  • Create and assist in the creation of test cases to ensure that business, stakeholder, solution and transition requirements are met
  • Testing and evaluating software for defects, functionality, and ease of use to ensure it is free of defects and meets the needs of customers, end-
  • users, staff and other stakeholders

  • Assess the results of UAT tests and take appropriate action; work closely with the
  • development group to troubleshoot and resolve defects; escalate issues to project
  • manager or management when necessary
  • Create test plans and strategies for specific projects
  • Facilitate meetings with Business and Technical units to discuss status of testing andefect resolution
  • Assess, coordinate and recommend when to release the application changes to Test,Training and Production environments
  • Elicit and document requirements and confirm that it meets the stakeholder’s needs
  • Qualifications

    Education / Certifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or other related discipline
  • CBAP certification is preferred
  • Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Quality Assurance
  • Experience with usability testing and integration testing
  • Experience with managing requirements, test cases and defects in TFS required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and Release Management
  • Experience in mobile and web based software testing and
  • working in an agile development environment would be an asset
  • Experience modelling business capabilities, business processes and business requirements
  • Experience understanding and creating swim lane
  • diagrams using Microsoft Visio is an asset
  • Experience using Workfront is an asset
  • Experience within the directory publishing / local
  • search / marketing services industry is an asset
