What is the opportunity?

Our Global Asset Management team is looking for a well-rounded Senior Developer with expertise in relational and object-oriented databases.

You will provide leadership, technical analysis, design and consulting skills the overall strategy, and take the lead on developing data downstream processes.

What will you do?

  • Build ETL processes for data that is required in Eagle.
  • Automate manual data processes for business teams simplify and build efficiencies.
  • Build Data Quality monitors and tracking tools.
  • Build PL / SQL stored procedures for Eagle data exporters.
  • Write SQL queries for reporting tools and ad hoc requests.
  • Develop processes to transmit Eagle data to downstream systems where Eagle functionality stops or is limited.
  • Follow RBC IT standards for development.
  • Work with GAM Business Technology on best practices, technologies and solutions.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have :

  • Experience writing advanced SQL queries, PL / SQL stored procedures, functions & packages in an Oracle database environment
  • Eagle PACE / STAR experience with working knowledge of Eagle Message Center, Eagle ML, Uploaders / Exporters, Data Mart, OLAP and Advanced report development
  • Microsoft SQL / T-SQL experience and a strong understanding of relational data structures
  • Self-starter can take requirements, work to design the most efficient solution within the Eagle environment
  • Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with a willingness to learn and work within the constraints of a vendor application
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Business understanding of Eagle data domains securities, cash activity, holdings, entities, performance
  • ExKnowledge of Eagle Performance data model, Eagle Performance calculations and reports
  • Eperience working with ETL / SSIS, BI tools, specifically Tableau and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience designing and building ETL / SSIS processes moving and transforming data for staging and data warehousing
