LOCK SEARCH GROUP Senior Manager, Market Access and Stakeholders Relations Based in Ottawa or Montreal Description :
Our client, an important biopharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Market Access and Stakeholders Relations based in Ottawa or Montreal.
The incumbent of the position will develop and implement strategies to engage key stakeholders that may be involved in access of the company’s current and future therapeutic areas.
Main Responsibilities :
Develop and ensure stakeholder engagement strategies are aligned to support product market access goals.
Accountable for representing the organization while collaborating with public drug programs, government officials, patient organizations, private insurers, and key HCPs.
Build and maintain an effective network among regional and national patient groups and coalitions; build interconnections between patient advocacy, drug plan access, and government relations
Identify emerging patient access trend issues and lead the development of a strategic and organized approach for advocating for patient-focused solutions.
Support Director of market access with market landscape mapping update.
Identify external challenges and emerging issues, and work with the team to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions.
Develop specific communication tools and vehicles for the appropriate dissemination of information to the patient community, drug plans, and other stakeholders;
support regional public relations needs
Communicate affiliate needs and obtain approvals for advocacy initiatives, patient communications, etc.
Oversee the development and management of annual operational budget.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Post graduate qualification in business preferred.
5+ years of pharma / biotech industry experience including experience in market access & stakeholders management
Prior experience with biologic products / drugs for rare diseases highly desirable.
Demonstrated excellence in portfolio management and project management.
Successful experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Ability to build strong relationships with commercial executives and government officials.
Ability to think quickly and logically and respond effectively to questions and challenges.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Strong leadership skills
Financial and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement, pricing issues, policies and trends
