Our client is a massive textile supply company in North America, and is currently looking for a Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join their team in Winnipeg.

With this role, there is a huge opportunity for growth and the transition into a more senior role within the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director Operations Controller, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the management and timeliness regarding the application of all receiving and posting cash receipts, updating of accounts, supervising the cash application process, and the maintenance of accurate records and control reports.

This role will require the ability to meet job responsibilities through others. The successful candidate will be will be expected to work with corporate management, finance department resources, and branch managers and employees in a collaborative and effective manner to ensure timely and effective completion of collections activities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Schedule, plan, monitor, direct, train and coach accounting team.
  • Responsible for audits posted A / R batches for accuracy, gathers and posts branch metrics.
  • Supervision of Credit Card transitions processes, and maintenance of security information.
  • Analyze cash application information and evaluate results to collaboratively assess and chose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end for cash applications areas
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations for application and customer account results.
  • Desired Skills + Experience :

  • University or College Degree is essential.
  • 5 + years collections related experience / training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual communication skills are an asset; proficient in both French and English, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of collections and applicable laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and handle work direction from multiple sources, detail oriented ability to prioritize and respond appropriately working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.
