We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Full-Time Business Analyst position in MyChart Program - Information Services located at the Bayview Campus.

Summary of Duties

  • Elicit business needs from clients and stakeholders, interpret these needs and translate them into business, application and operational requirements.
  • Ensure needs also meet corporate privacy, IT and security requirements

  • Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Document current state workflow, decomposing high level information into details and abstracting up from low level information
  • Define and recommend future state workflows including an operational plan that is sustainable by the department(s) and fits within their new operational framework
  • Develop detailed system specifications including functional and interface
  • Lead, develop and manage test plans and strategies for unit, functional, integration, interface and user acceptance testing.
  • Track enhancements and bugs, liaise with Project Manager and manage vendor to resolve issues

  • Establish excellent working relationships with project team members, clients, software vendors and internal IS Subject Matter Experts
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of project plans, schedules and deadlines
  • Prepare status updates, presentation material, and generate data reports
  • Participate / assist in adoption and implementation planning
  • Qualifications / Skills

  • University degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, Business and / or related field
  • Significant recent related experience in an analytical role required
  • Sound knowledge of project management and applicable healthcare industry experience mandatory
  • Experience with systems architectures in a health care setting an asset
  • Experience with MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with hardware and / or software vendor relations
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and has the ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Able to impact and influence others to obtain critical information in a timely manner
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
