We have the opportunity for you! L3 MAS, located in Mirabel (QC) is a subsidiary of L3 Technologies and a Premier In-Service Support (ISS) contractor in Canada.
For over 30 years, L3 MAS has carried out the repair, maintenance, and modernization of Aerospace platforms. L3 MAS has developed innovative and tailored solutions for several platform in-
service support contracts. These contracts cover full spectrum, modern ISS processes and oversight, the repair and overhaul of system components, first to third level maintenance, design and manufacturing of parts, supply chain, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and state-
of-the-art electronic publication solutions. L3 MAS is leveraging this ISS expertise to address a range of ISS programs with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).
We are building a Marine Systems & Logistic Engineering team to support several new contracts and emerging opportunities.

Your role : Together with the RCN’s Senior Marine Systems Engineers and with L3 MAS project team, you will be responsible to :
Support the development of a Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) system using the ship’s available platform system health data.
Support the execution of integrated logistic support (ILS) projects and activities.
Interact with management and customers on significant ILS and business matters.
Act as an internal expert for integrated logistic / product support.
Support the establishment of discipline training goals, provide guidance and coaching to other employees within the integrated logistics and product support areas.
Recommend strategies to support achievement of overall business and discipline goals.
Your responsibilities : System Engineering :
Perform necessary engineering work to identify and simulate new data analysis logic on ship Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) systems, and demonstrate their benefits using existing data for the chosen systems.
This will entail extensive analysis of the EHM data, encompassing operations with reported failures or preceding reported failures at the follow-
on inspection, as well as eventless operations;
Consult with various Subsystem OEMs in order to gain base knowledge of the health monitoring capability of the currently installed sensors;
Consult with software companies and / or government agencies to seek deeper knowledge of emerging technologies in data analysis and optimization; and
Carry out Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis of platform mechanical systems to develop, test and potentially implement Condition Based Maintenance, including : Propulsion Diesel Engines, Shaft Line and Propeller, and Diesel Generators.
Logistics Engineering :
Define and develop strategy to respond to logistics support requirements, plans and schedules; performs life cycle cost, repair level and spares analysis, supportability readiness assessments and workload analyses.
Analyze technical data and reports to determine / formulate specific recommendations regarding maintenance management, spare / repair forward supply chain, support equipment and utilizations, support facility / infrastructure, transportation, and like product support element tasks.
Provide technical / administrative direction and surveillance to manage supportability and sustaining engineering across the life-
cycle including change management practices.
Assist in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support plans;
Interpret mission / support scenarios and translating them into logistics support requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering combined with 8+ years of relevant marine systems engineering experience with naval fleet operations and maintenance (any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered);
Project management of a Department of National Defence (DND) marine systems program;
Experience in naval reliability centered maintenance and integrated logistics support is desirable;
Strong knowledge of Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA);
Experience performing logistics assessments and assessing sustainment key performance parameters;
Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.

Position highlights :
Based in Mirabel, Quebec with occasional travel to Montreal, Gatineau, Quebec city, Ottawa or elsewhere in Canada.

Operational requirements :
Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program ;
Must be eligible for obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s Reliability status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
Primary work location is not accessible via public transportation, therefore a car required.
