What is the opportunity?

RBC is hiring for an exciting Analyst (Co-op) on the MIS Cards, Payments & Banking (CPB) and Personal Savings and Investments (PSI) role.

In this role you will report to the Senior Manager, CPB & PSI and collaborate with various Lines of Business (LOBs) partners across Personal and Commercial Banking platforms to help drive business results by assisting with the development of reporting solutions that deliver value-

added and insightful client / product information.

What will you do?

  • Develop reports, using tools such as SAS and Tableau, required for Canadian Banking to meet business and financial imperatives
  • Participate in meetings to gather and document business requirements to identify success criteria and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measurement
  • Work with MIS CPB & PSI team members on report automation and streamline existing reporting processes
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure reporting is developed to meet requirements and is delivered with accuracy and on time across the business
  • Maintain or enhance standard reports to showcase insights and support initiatives
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have :

  • Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Business Analysis or other quantitative discipline
  • Past experience with relational databases and tools (i.e. SQL and SAS)
  • Excellent MS Office Skill - Excel
  • Strong business acumen and analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy
  • Attention to detail, organization, ability to multi task and time management is critical
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Relevant experience in financial reporting
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge
  • Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of banking products and services
