About you :

Do you love to maximize the utilizations of data, extracting and transforming large data sets to help generate insights that will drive business decisions and build dynamic advanced analytics oriented apps that address business needs?

What your role and responsibilities will be :

As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you will work with Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Product Owners to drive Analytics innovations and technical solutions into the practice.

You are a key pillar who will help discover key insights and develop end-to-end and out of the box analytics apps in order to fuel cross-

functional teams that work at delivering best-in-class digital products and experience. Your primary focus will be to design and build data models, mapping of data sources to data models (structured and unstructured), engineering of scalable ETL pipelines, development of data quality solutions, and continuous evaluation of technologies to continuously enhance the analytics capabilities of the Lab.

Reporting to the Director, Operations and Digital Analytics, your main responsibilities are to :

  • Be our expert in the overall access, extraction, management and consolidation of datasets pertinent to our needs
  • Integrate data from a variety of sources (mainly structured data), assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
  • Define and designs data models to support designated use cases and develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and fuel reporting and analytics apps
  • Develop robust ETL processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing
  • Collaborates with advanced analytics developers to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes
  • Uses strong programming skills in Python, R, Scala, Spark, Java or any of the well-known languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
  • Work in very close collaboration with the digital analytics team to identify opportunities that will drive digital customer acquisition and experience strategies
  • Take the leadership in identifying and developing key analyses aligned with our digital business objectives
  • Create insightful and well-crafted story-oriented reports / dashboards, and / or advanced analytics apps and models that deliver high value to the digital team and business units

  • Solid experience with Python / R / Spark and data extraction, data cleansing and data wrangling, and in building batch data pipelines and scalable performant data models
  • Excellent skills in SQL and experience with relational DBMS (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, SAS, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ideally with NoSQL DBMS (e.
  • g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

  • Practical knowledge of data integration tools (e.g. Talend) and in data modeling, data mapping, data governance and the processes and technologies commonly used in this space
  • Proven experience in writing clean and well-documented programs in Object-oriented / object function scripting languages such as Python, R, Scala, C++, Java.
  • Experience in developing API based and microservices oriented data acquisition and management systems.
  • A Bachelor degree in a related field
  • Proven comfort level with Linux OS and with bash scripting
  • Ability to Securely handling data both in motion and at rest such as communication protocols, encryption, authentication, and authorization
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units and Experience working with business teams and data scientists to capture and define data models and data flows to enable downstream analytics
  • Bonus if you have

  • Practical knowledge of Adobe Analytics, its data warehouse and API.
  • Proven experience in Shiny package of R, Javascript, and / or Node.JS, or in developing dynamic Web apps.
  • Proven experience in transforming and analyzing large data sets and deriving insights from data using various BI tools (e.
  • g., Power BI) and / or advanced visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Highcharts, ECharts)

  • Proven experience in advanced analytics and statistical modelling
