Position Summary : The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and creating business requirements as well as developing the business rules, analysis documents and business flow charts / diagrams throughout the project life cycle.
In this position, the Consultant works closely with the business and project teams to proactively identify issues and find solutions.
He / She consistently applies follow-up procedures throughout the project phase including business systems analysis, design, and modeling as well as development and an oversight of quality assurance.

Analysis and Solution Definition. Understands, gathers, and analyzes the business issues and data challenges of the organization and the financial industry.
Pro actively identify opportunities where technologies, systems and processes can improve operations and help achieve organizational goals through business process re-
engineering. Creates business analysis documents through user group discussions. Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution. Develops business cases and feasibility studies for new projects / initiatives.
Technical Recommendation and Testing. Works closely with internal and external development teams to ensure all projects undertaken address the business requirements and that implementation will be carried out as planned.
Works with external vendors and service providers to communicate business requirements and implementation of financial systems.
Provides testing support to the Quality Assurance team by reviewing their designs and test plans. Supports the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and maintaining the project deadlines.
Understands financial applications such as Unitrax, IFast, MVest / MPower, Pacer, PAM, AWD
Communication / Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.
Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
Understands how to communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully.
Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client / server architectures.
Understands systems interfaces.
Identifies critical issues with ease.
Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of financial industry practices when solving business problems.
Develops relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
Qualifications : -University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent degree designation;
CSC, IFIC, or CFA, certification is an asset;
Minimum five years related work experience preferably in the Mutual Fund Manufacturing industry;
Minimum of 10 years over all business / IT experience;
Experience in one or more of the following- Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Custody, Financial Reporting
Experience in process modeling and business process improvement;
Strong knowledge and understanding of end user computing tools as well as database structure and logic;
Knowledge of project management principles and practices;
Good working knowledge of MS Project , MS Office, and MS Visio;
Business analysis and requirements testing skills
