TD IT Architecture covers TD's overall technology strategy, direction, standards for designing and / or developing an architecture framework including technology architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards to govern how technology solutions will be developed and implemented across the organization.

Architects typically develop and maintain any combination of the following : solution and application architecture, infrastructure environment architecture, technical integration architecture, data strategies and models, security and enterprise architecture.

  • As an Enterprise Architect for "Customer Platforms", the incumbent shall be responsible for;
  • Creating the reference architectures & design principles for enterprise customer platforms. E.g. integrated data sets for Customer (personal) , Entity (business clients) along with their relationships and hierarchies.
  • Defining high-level use cases and patterns for the customer platforms. These use cases will cover common Segment and Enterprise needs.
  • Assessing and evaluating various technology approaches for building out customer platforms. Conduct Proof of concepts to test approaches.
  • Make recommendations to various Enterprise & Segment stakeholders.

  • Ensuring approaches are compliant with TD’s Standards, security policies and regulations
  • Presenting and socializing the reference architecture and patterns to all Segment boards and Enterprise Governing councils.
  • Working with segment architecture to ensure their road-maps align to the Enterprise.
  • Author architectural blueprints for programs / project that implement components of the customer platforms reference architecture
  • Job Requirements

    It helps if you have :

  • Extensive knowledge on n-Tier architectures, frameworks, and the ability produce conceptual & logical reference architectures
  • Experience in producing design & integration patterns along with high-Level Use cases.
  • Experience is assessing and evaluating various technologies (Mainframe, distributed, cloud) around customer management.
  • Experience in the customer domain (CIFs, CRM, Customer 360), with knowledge of customer models in various industries. (Banking, wealth management & insurance an asset but not required)
  • Experience with leveraging big data technologies to solve for customer data integration and creating operational data stores
  • Ability to design and define the architecture patterns for APIs around customer data repositories.
  • Experience in presenting to senior architects at review boards & other councils.
  • 3-5 years of experience as either a solutions architect, application architect or enterprise architect (preferably in the customer domain, but not required).
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present ideas & concepts to a broad audience in a clear and concise manner.
  • The qualities of a self-starter, with the ability to lead change and influence technology & business partners
  • Formidable team work and collaboration skills that will excel in a matrixed environment
  • Knowledge of Financial Services / Banking industry (an asset)
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • A Bachelor's Degree
