DIVISION : Operations POSITION TITLE : Quality Assurance Supply Manager SUPERVISOR : Director Supply Chain

SUMMARY :

The Quality Assurance Supply Manager is responsible for the coordination of quality assurance and control of material being purchased, from the supplier to the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Direct and manage a team of specialists that develop and foster relationships with our strategic suppliers that places focus on : On-
  • Time Delivery; On Quality Delivery, Total Acquisition Cost, and supplier continuous improvements to ensure CMC’s strategic supplier's overall performance is meets or exceeds established objectives;
  • Establish and manage supplier quality policies and clauses;
  • Establish and manage supplier selection / qualification criteria;
  • Investigate all new developments relative to material and supplies and makes recommendations to reduce costs and improve quality, while meeting all requirements;
  • Develops and leads initiatives to increase supplier performance management awareness through targeted business engagement, communication and training to Strategic Suppliers and various internal stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver critical initiatives, promote supplier management & development programs to protect the organization from third-
  • party risk exposure and increase adoption of best practices in continuous improvement and risk management;
  • Schedule and plan audits at selected strategic suppliers, as well as potential new suppliers, to verify and validate their respective Quality Management Systems, business processes, capabilities, etc., are robust.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to the position;
  • Ten (10) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Aerospace;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in managing unionized personnel;
  • Experience in continuous improvement processes;
  • Knowledge of audit process, and related certification (AS9100, Nadcap, Etc.);
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards, Quality Control and ISO procedures are required;
  • Must have experience as an effective team player with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Master of Microsoft software; Excel, Word, Outlook and Access;
  • Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written.
