Based out of our national corporate office, in Etobicoke, ON, and reporting to the VP of People and Culture, this comprehensive recruitment mandate will require you to analyze our existing capabilities and design, recommend, execute and lead our overall Talent Acquisition strategy.

This will include the full life cycle of talent acquisition from sourcing and attraction on a national, regional and local scale, to building the team and capabilities across the country, to partnering with schools and associations, to ensuring we have efficient and effective processes, methodologies and technology in place to identify, assess and select the best people.

This all encompassing and challenging mandate requires a motivated and experienced recruitment professional to get deeply involved with and / or lead our efforts in recruitment marketing, recruitment technologies, employer branding, social recruiting, campus relations, internship programs, the candidate experience and the intake process.

PRIMARY DUTIES

As Director of Talent Acquisition, you will :

  • Work with and present talent attraction strategies, tactics and metrics to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Provide leadership and design CBI Certified Talent Acquisition training for recruiters
  • Communicate on a regular basis with Talent Acquisition Leads to understand and forecast needs and initiatives, and to develop communication strategies to support these requirements
  • Develop candidate pipeline strategies national and provincial and partner with Provincial People and Culture Leaders and Business partners to make it happen
  • Support recruitment marketing technologies and other technology touch points (LinkedIn, Indeed, ATS, Career Site) to align content, direction and processes with all recruitment initiatives
  • Support the annual recruitment plan and budget
  • Identify, develop and manage Employee Value Propositions, message architecture and hierarchy
  • Develop, execute and manage the employer brand platform and standards for use across the organization. Ensure brand standards are understood, maintained and consistently executed in all external communication
  • Establish key priorities and develop annual calendars for employment brand, recruitment events and social media recruitment
  • Define and monitor related performance and metrics
  • Develop and execute public relations strategies focused specifically on recruitment
  • Support onboarding of new employees with compelling messages and materials, i.e., New Employee Welcome Kit
  • Develop and maintain a talent community to sustain engagement with relevant talent pools
  • Develop creative briefs for recruitment campaigns.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    To take on the role of Director Talent Marketing and Acquisition, you must :

  • Exhibit strong instincts and a deep understanding of the recruiting process
  • Have 7 to 10 years’ experience in a recruitment and marketing leadership role
  • Be data-driven and digital savvy, with a deep understanding of recruitment media and metrics
  • Have experience-based expertise in the use and management of Employee Value Propositions, recruitment marketing and employer branding
  • Possess strong leadership, change management and communication skills
  • Combine robust project management skills with experience implementing national HR programs
  • Hold a university degree or college diploma in a related field
  • Be proactive, energetic and results-oriented, able to lead a team and get things done
  • Think strategically and act tactically to share and implement a vision
  • Be both technology-oriented and people-focused
