You will lead efforts to maintain the SigFig investment platform and manage integrations with our partner organizations’ systems, and see new features through the entire project lifecycle.

This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to external partners and executives as you are discussing the technical trade-

offs in product development with product managers and engineers.


  • Working closely with SigFig engineers, product and project staff, you will manage the technical integration of SigFig’s online investment solution into partner systems through all phases of the integration life cycle, from planning, development, testing and release.
  • Managing cross-functional teams and multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Meeting with financial institutions to understand business goals, feature requirements, and technical capabilities.
  • Managing the relationship with Partner delivery teams and working with them to align SigFig and Partner delivery.
  • Owning the Level 2 support function for Partners post national launch, and leveraging technical skills to triage incoming issues and direct them to the appropriate resources.
  • Leading a project team by making extensive use of agile methodologies
  • Providing oversight to project trends including timeliness, and quality. Intervening and escalating as necessary to keep things on track, and applying strategic proactive thinking to improve future delivery
  • Tracking release milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to be coordinated for delivery.
  • Managing communication of progress / status within the core team and partners; escalate issues as necessary.
  • Interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning internally and with Partners and Vendors.
  • Collaborate with SigFig’s engineering teams on the long-term planning and development of our technology platform

  • Technical expertise You possess a BA / BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • You have experience with technology, infrastructure and application development, and development tools.

  • Technical Decision Making You know a bad technical path when you see one and you know to push back when appropriate. You strive to fill the gaps between business requirements and engineering and are not afraid to suggest reasonable workarounds when necessary
  • Project management You have at least 5 years of experience managing technology projects a portfolio of concurrent programs at various stages of execution.
  • Great Communication Skills You know how to take complicated technical problems and synthesize them into their key points.
  • You are a provider of clarity, and always bring focus to what’s important.

  • Client Management Skills You know how to align SigFig’s needs with Partner needs and manage the relationship to provide an excellent level of service to our Partners.
  • Process Management Skills You are excited to see opportunity to support our business and support model with process. You identify what your team needs to succeed for support and feature delivery, and ensure we have the mechanisms in place to provide it.
  • Leadership and Organization You’ve managed a software project before and can guide engineers to the finish line. You know how to prioritize tasks, manage risks, estimate timelines, and keep the ball rolling when working with multiple teams.
  • Previous engineering experience is highly preferred, ideally in a role integrating software with third-party organizations.
  • Familiarity working with SSO solutions (SAML, OAuth, OpenID), email systems, e-signature providers, financial data (FIX, OFX), multi-
  • tenant web infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, proxies) or build and release tools is a plus.

  • Passion for finance and investing is a plus.
