Graduation with a master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology.
Specific coursework at the graduate level in one or more of the following areas : abnormal behaviour / psychopathology, psychological assessment, and / or psychological interventions
Registration for autonomous practice of psychology by a provincial or territorial registering / licensing body in Canada.
Experience in the provision of psychological services (including mental health services), such as assessment, counseling or other psychological services with adults, either to groups or individuals.
If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)
Doctorate from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology.
Experience in the provision of psychological services in forensic / correctional settings.

In an effort to resolve retention and recruitment problems, the Employer will provide an allowance to Masters and Doctoral level registered psychologists (PS) for the performance of PS duties in the Health Services group with the exclusion of the personnel psychologists in the Personnel Psychology Centre (PPC) or in any other portion of the Public Service Commission (PSC), or in Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
The parties agree that PS employees who perform the duties of positions identified above shall be eligible to receive a terminable allowance in the following amounts (subject to conditions) :
Masters level registered psychologists - $6,000
Doctoral level registered psychologists - $12,000
