Primary Duties Include
Review documentation and claims from new files
Assist with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
Opening and closing files, calendar management, arranging meetings anddiarizing court-related dates
Maintaining daily contact with clients
Minute book and general filing
Assist with department precedents
Enter dockets on a daily basis
Complete various tax and corporateforms along with general correspondence
Other administrative duties as required
Required Experience / Skills / Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience working within Corporate tax or Wills& Estates
Legal Assistant diploma (plus additional courses an asset)
Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure relating to estates
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with minute books and corporate terms
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well underpressure
Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to workboth independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
Strong technical skills (including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel andPowerPoint)
