The financial analyst is part of the finance and accounting team. As a member of the finance and accounting department, he / she participates in the production, validation and analysis of non-

consolidated financial results for internal management purposes in addition to analyzing certain consolidated data for corporate governance purposes.

He / She communicates easily in French and English to fulfill a compliance role and to support and advise operational managers to ensure compliance and improvement of internal controls as well as compliance with IFRS norms.

The analyst will be asked to contribute to the annual budget process as well as periodic financial forecasts and variances analysis.

He / She will promote Goldcorp values and ensure compliance and enforcement of its rules and business principles.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Analyze and validate gold and sub-product sales transactions and other items associated with the revenue cycle and inventory tracking.
  • Analyze and monitor complex accounting transactions, including lease agreements, debt and assets monitoring related to the decommissioning, restoration and rehabilitation of the environment, royalties and various capitalized collaboration agreements.
  • Carry out key steps in the process of closing the books, transferring data for consolidation of validation and editing of periodic financial statements.
  • Build documentation of referential files and collaborate in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the preparation and documentation of tax files as well as files related to requests for miscellaneous credits.
  • Participate in month end activities at the Rouyn-Noranda office.
  • Update and improve descriptions of processes and internal controls.
  • Participate in the production and validation of the conformity, accuracy and validity of the information transmitted to governmental and para-
  • governmental authorities, particularly in regards to sales taxes, fuel taxes, municipal taxes, statistics, CSST, etc.

  • Produce various analyses and documents requested by the corporate bodies.
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety.
  • All other related tasks.
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Business administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience in a similar position
  • Professional Accountant title (asset)
  • Good computer knowledge and Integrated software system (SAP is an asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English is essential)
