Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Events and Sales Coordinator , we’d ask you to do the following for us :

  • Responsible for full sales cycle including but not limited to qualifying leads, site visits, negotiating contracts
  • Consult with clients to discover creative solutions to recognize their vision and objective for each event
  • Preparation of quotes and proposals as required
  • Responsible for driving sales, meeting and exceeding budgeted goals through exceptional client relationships, bring in new sales
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments with potential clients
  • Effectively manage client relationships and multitask in a fast paced high volume environment
  • Develop marketing materials such as quarterly newsletters, social media content and some basic graphic design
  • Attend relevant trade shows and industry events to promote the venue
  • Develop and maintain complete knowledge of facilities, policies and procedures at The Estates of Sunnybrook
  • Create and maintain sales department files in an orderly manner, and ensure and maintain confidentially of all sensitive communication and materials
  • Participate in sales and revenue meeting and other meetings as required
  • Actively participate in training, regional initiatives and meetings as required
  • Flexible work schedule with evening and weekend work required based on business needs
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned
  • Ability to handle all incoming inquiries and work with well with clients in the social & corporate market
  • Must be able to work outside of traditional business hours, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Actively participate in training, regional initiatives and meetings as required
  • Participate in reviewing competitor’s pricing / websites, etc.

    Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role.

  • Post-secondary education preferred and / or relevant work experience
  • High school diploma, college or university degree or relevant work experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong team player and ability to take initiative
  • Proven decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude, flexible and motivated to be successful
  • Dependable, self-disciplined and team oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of catering software an asset
  • Experience in event planning an asset
  • Digital Marketing experience an asset
