Position Overview :
This position is responsible for the sales and technical execution of the Total Lab Solutions which will include but not be limited to : lab systems and automation lines of business for Abbott Diagnostics LAC Commercial Operations.
This position leads the Technical Specialists associated with these businesses to support the Enterprise Acquisition Sales team and has full accountability for direct sales and support initiatives at the regional level.
The Total Solutions Design (TSD) Manager will report to the Area Technical Solutions Design Manager. This position will work closely with the Enterprise Solutions Directors / Managers in Canada..
The TSD Manager will work closely with the Acquisition and Customer Experience teams in both the acquisition and renewal process following the Strategic Account Management (SAM ) process.

This individual is accountable for establishing the sales revenue and margin of Total Lab Solutions which will include but not be limited to : lab systems and automation lines of business for Abbott Diagnostics LAC Commercial Operations.

Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree required (4 years college or equivalent).
10 + years of related work experience
Candidate should have a working knowledge of the Canadian Hospital market & healthcare reform impact to this segment including trends and issues as they relate to Abbott Diagnostics, Lab Solutions, Automation and Informatics fields and consulting practices.
Diagnostic leadership experience is required at a level of District / Equivalent Manager. Technical, laboratory, process engineering and / or sales experience is necessary.
Certification in Lean or Six Sigma is highly valuable. Candidate should have advanced analytical and communication skills.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills. Presentation skills are beneficial. Ability to examine business environment and develop / execute in response to market opportunities will be of significant benefit.
