Kinesiologist (CBI Guildford & CBI Langley) If you’re an energetic, enthusiastic Kinesiologist seeking personal and professional growth, CBI Health Group has an excellent opening that will enable you to meet your career goals while enjoying the support of one of the largest healthcare networks in Canada.

Working with team physiotherapists the role will involve the organization and delivery of Active Rehabilitation and Work Conditioning Services varying from one on one to small group settings.

Potential expansion role to work with Certified Hand Therapists the role will include developing Gradual Return to Work plans, completing Job Site Visits for injured workers and contacting employers, WCB and workers associated with the file.

No experience required but is preferred.

CBI Guildford : Mon, Weds, Fri 7.5 hours per day. Evening work may be required (no later than 7pm).

CBI Langley : Tues & Thurs 7.5 hours per day.

Only one location may be possible.

PRIMARY DUTIES As a Registered Kinesiologist, you will :


  • Be responsible for the provision of one-on-one and group kinesiology exercise prescription
  • Provide disability management coordination
  • Complete functional assessments
  • Work with a client profile that can range from orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, to cognitive and / or mood related
  • Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet the identified client needs
  • Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
  • Assist the treating clinician with return to work planning
  • Teach a variety of group education classes
  • QUALIFICATIONS To take on the role of Registered Kinesiologist, you must :


  • Have an undergraduate degree in kinesiology or human kinetics
  • Registration (in good standing) with the BC Association of Kinesiologists
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Be seeking a challenging opportunity to continue to build a growing practice
  • Be comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with patients
  • Be trained in functional capacity evaluations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of medical conditions, disability management, and appropriate exercise prescription and progression

  • Strong report writing skills essential. Strong telephone / email communication skills. Must have valid Driver’s License and own vehicle for completing Job Site Visits.

  • Work conditioning or Active Rehabilitation experience beneficial. Experience working with ICBC and WCB clients ideal. Job site visit experience and gradual return to work planning beneficial.
