ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a strong leader to fill the role of Laboratory Technical Services Supervisor to join our team. The right candidate will be a part of the Laboratory Technical Services team a team consisted of strong and dedicated professionals who are passionate and driven to continuous improvement and success.
Reporting to the Laboratory Technical Services Manager, the Laboratory Technical Services Supervisor will be responsible for the supervisor of the site operations and execution of assigned projects of the Calibration Chemists.
The Laboratory Technical Services Supervisor will provide leadership, training, capital project management, Out-of-Specification investigation and Change Control to different stakeholders and employees.
Supervise the calibration and maintenance programs for all laboratory instrumentation and coordinate with the lab managers and supervisors for timely servicing of the lab instrumentation
Initiate and monitor change control for Lab Equipment, Master Data and Computerized systems using QMS Trackwise
Investigate Out-of-Specification calibration results of procedure deviations using QMS Trackwise including analysis and KPI monitoring
Ensure scheduled work for calibration and service of lab instrumentation are followed using SAP PM Module
Manage the inventory of calibration spare parts to meet overall demands for all the laboratories
Maintain training records and ensure all employees are properly qualified to execute their duties
Supervise, train and develop direct reports as well as delegating the training of newly recruited staff under their supervision.
Responsible for maintaining training records for the LTS Department.
Provide technical support and assist staff in the problem solving as related to their daily activities and perform training for lab instrument operators and group leaders as required.
Work with lab managers and Information Services department to install and qualify new Equipment and lab projects.
Perform calibrations and servicing of lab instrumentation according to current GMP and company SOPs as required.
Participate in the development of departmental strategy and assist with the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and procedures
Explore and propose opportunities for automation and other technology applications within the laboratories
University degree or College diploma in science or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience employed in an industrial laboratory based environment
Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and familiarity with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as well as regulatory requirements for good documentation practices and cGMP would be a strong asset
Knowledge of MS Office and laboratory software packages is highly desired
