Reporting to the Associate Director Business Partners, Global Indirect Procurement, the Business Partner is a Procurement resource assigned to partner with the business and provide a full range of Source to Contract services.
This role is aligned with the business groups by category of spend, to assist them in meeting their business objectives through driving maximum supplier strategic value creation;
and, to drive compliance with business and functional participants for their assigned spend and services requirements.
There will be one Business Partner for the following categories / grouping of categories may change over time based on demand;
Scientific, R&D, Lab, QA
IT, Warehouse & Distribution, Logistics
Corporate Services, Professional Services
Engineering & Facilities
Build key relationships and earn a position of trusted advisor within the Business decision making and strategy development organization.
Acts as the primary liaison between Procurement and Business Senior Leadership in their functional domain;
Oversee the Business interaction and acceptance throughout the category and wave planning processes and project charter socialization / acceptance;
Translates business strategies, challenges, and opportunities into Sourcing opportunities (business acumen, innovation, thought leader);
Qualifies Sourcing opportunities and obtain business endorsement;
Prioritizes Sourcing opportunies;
Captures high-level business requirement;
Experts in identifying and quantifying business benefits;
Relationship development and management, in collaboration with the business, of suppliers.
Oversees the successful implementation of S2C projects in GMP and non-GMP environments.
Ensures projects provide business value and / or compliance advancement.
Risk mitigation and issue management for Sourcing projects.
Manages $50-75M portfolio annually.
The Business Partner role contributes to the Apotex Indirect Procurement organization within an assigned Apotex Business functional area.
Business Partners are the primary relationship manager, supporting Procurement services, and demand creation and is accountable to drive business alignment .
Responsibilities (discreetly and in coordination with peer Business Partners globally) include : Lead efforts to drive compliance with business and functional participants for their assigned spend and services requirements.
Participate in periodic sessions with their Strategic Sourcing counterparts to review : progress on service delivery goals, demand and compliance.
Serve as a voice of the business for all day-to-day requirements, escalations and exceptions. Proactively identify analytics and reporting needs.
Provide analytics to support fact based decision making. Drive agreed metrics and data definitions to support performance scorecard and Service Level Agreement Reporting.
Tracks and reports benefit harvesting;
Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes;
Performs all work in support of our Corporate Values of Pride, Accountability, Integrity and Diligence;
All other duties as assigned.
University graduate degree required, specialization in Operations Management, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred
5+ years of Business Stakeholder Relationship Management within a scientific based manufacturing organization
Procurement lifecycle (requisition to payment customer impact) experience
Experience with contract , goods and services life cycle management across various categories of spend, required
Significant relationship management and presentation skills
Practiced collaborator with demonstrated capability to partner with other business functions and internal stakeholders, comfortable within a culture of rigorous regulatory and scientific process excellence
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated positive team work across business segments and within the department.
Familiarity with with SAP, Ariba, and other enterprise Procurement systems, e-Sourcing and contract management tools required
