Assistant Regional Manager - National Bank Financial
This position reports to the Regional Director, National Bank Financial Wealth Management ( NBFWM ).
The Assistant Regional Manager will be responsible for achieving business results through sales management leadership.
As the Assistant Regional Manager, you will execute the business plans developed by the Regional Manager while removing barriers that impede sales force effectiveness.
You will manage a group of investment advisors assigned by the Regional Manager to maximize revenue and productivity opportunities.
You will also be the primary point of contact for the investment advisors under your responsibility and will manage the communication of strategic objectives and corporate information.
You will have responsibility for maintaining and strengthening the relationships with investment advisors by fostering an open and inclusive environment along with an advisor focused culture.
Specifically, you will :
Execute business plans developed by the Regional Manager to achieve strategic and financial goals including assets, revenue, profitability and market share growth
Manage the performance of investment advisors by evaluating their business, facilitating creation of business plans and coordinating access to coaching to and promotion of other partner solutions and resources
Manage first line communication with investment advisors and manage and resolve day to day issues
Actively identify and recruit Investment Advisors in the Region who would be a good fit with existing branches, our culture and are leaders in the industry
Act as an Ambassador to NBFWM in the region and internally through community representation and also participation in corporate events and partnerships
Communicate and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
Provide compliance leadership, maintain the compliance structure put in place and supervise the regional compliance supervisor to ensure compliance with the various regulatory requirements
Evaluate and provide feedback to improve the quality of customer service and the client experience within the region
Establish performance objectives and evaluate the performance of the sales assistants and administrative staff and provide feedback or corrective action as appropriate
Manage the local managers to ensure they are fulfilling their role and responsibilities
Completed Bachelors or Master's degree related to the sector of activity as well as 6-8 years of relevant Brokerage experience, of which 4 years are in a supervisory capacity managing a large team of advisors
Completion of the Branch Manager's Course; Canadian Securities Course (C.S.C.), the Conduct & Practices Handbook (C.P.
H.) and licensed with the IIROC
Client Centric with significant Business Development skills and extensive industry knowledge
Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong relationship manager with advanced negotiation and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to create workable solutions to complex issues
Superior oral and written communication skills. Able to mediate and facilitate large groups and communicate effectively with internal and external partners
