DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare a seasonally inspired menu from scratch using the finest, fresh ingredients available, and present meals to our residents in an aesthetic and pleasing manner.
Follow guidelines set out for portion control, FIFO procedures, and proper food handling to minimize waste and ensure food safety.
Operate all kitchen equipment proficiently while following proper sanitization and temperature logging protocols.
Receiving and proper storage of deliveries.
Must have a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
Must have the ability to communicate tactfully and maturely when interacting with residents, staff, suppliers, volunteers, and the family and guests of our residents.
Must be in good health, free of communicable diseases and able to do physically demanding work under pressure in a warm, noisy environment.
Must be well groomed and have a high standard of personal hygiene.
Ability to read and write English and follow instructions.
Available to work either morning or evening (05 : 30-14 : 00 or 11 : 00-19 : 30) shift.
