Position Overview : What you'll do :
What you'll do :
Respond to emergencies such as fire, water leaks, electrical failure as required
Perform routine fire alarm system inspection as required
Perform diesel generator test
Perform routine inspection of all roofing systems, mechanical room, and electrical room & pump house.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance throughout the building including HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
Maintain washroom plumbing fixtures in operating condition including replacement and / or repair of damaged units
Ensure work area and assigned tools and equipment are kept clean and tidy.
Perform preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, repairs and replacement of parts for all building and plant equipment as assigned.
Assist in the preparation & implementation of operational and emergency procedure.
Test and record all chemical treatment programs & perform boiler blow down on daily basis.
Maintain and repair facility systems including : domestic hot & cold water, sanitary and irrigation systems
Complete and maintain all documents / records in a timely and accurate manner as required. This includes; work orders, log books, inspection logs, and other documents used in the performance of your duties.
Monitor & operate building automation system & ensures equipment operate at its maximum efficiency and as per operating temperature.

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years related experience in general building maintenance & operations
4th Class Stationary Engineer or Class B Refrigeration Operator license from TSSA is mandatory.
Solid understanding of HVAC equipment, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing and related plant equipment and systems.
Sound mechanical knowledge
Solid understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety Procedures
Must have and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license G or G2 .
Available for shift work, weekends, holidays, nights and overtime.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to operate computerized building automation system.
Computer literate, capable of reading drawing.
This is a full-time position based out of Woodbine Racetrack. Travel to other WEG properties within Ontario will be required.
