The position aims to meets or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets with the objectives of business growth and retention of existing customers by balancing in-
person visits with phone / email connections -depending on the size and needs of the customer).
Please note : This position is scheduled for Monday to Friday, daytime hours, but may be required outside these hours.
To be successful in this role, you will exceptionally complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities) :
Handles incoming sales calls and makes cold calls, selling into accounts, servicing new accounts, and managing the existing client base.
Implements and maintains call cycle to ensure customer satisfaction, execution of account development strategies, prospecting / closing new business, goal attainment, and minimizing customer churn.
This call cycle includes face-to-face meetings (primary focus), phone calls, and emails, depending on the size and / or needs of clients,
Develops and maintains all aspects of customer relationships, including optimal meeting frequency, preparation of rate proposals and negotiations, addressing customer complaints, and any other customer needs or issues.
Researches and gains an understanding of clients’ industry, business strategies, challenges, and needs.
Identifies, builds, and acts on sales pipeline activity for Sameday’s full scope of services, ensuring nurturing of deals and opportunities to close.
Interfaces with internal and external industry experts to anticipate changing client needs and facilitate solution development.
Identifies and acts on opportunities for new business with existing accounts
Meets or exceeds quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.
Drives integrated planning and execution, coordinating sales and operations teams to ensure aligned client engagement and service.
Works with operations to address issues with scheduled shipments
Maintain accurate customer files
Other related duties as may be required.
To be qualified for this role, please ensure your resume clearly displays some or all of the following :
Minimum of secondary education, with preference of post-secondary education (general stream, sales, administration
1-2 years’ experience in telesales, sales support / customer service or business-to-business sales, preferably in the transportation industry.
Advanced communication skills, verbal and written.
English and French.
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely fashion.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
Out-going Hunter personality with the desire to develop in the sales field.
Computer skills proficiency and accuracy; strong knowledge of MS products; knowledge and / or experience with AS400 and / or SalesForce is an asset.
Office environment includes extended periods working on a computer and phone. Travelling is required on a regular basis.
