Job Description :

The purpose of this role is to validate that services being claimed by Plan Members or Service Providers through the paper and electronic submission channel have been rendered.

You’ll contact the Plan Member or Service Provider by phone. If positive validation is received, the claim is forwarded for further processing.

If validation cannot be obtained within the defined timeframe, or a negative response is received, you’ll refer the file for further investigation by other members of the ISU team.

Standards for timely service and accuracy are clearly defined. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in asking the right questions to gain necessary information without doing so in a leading manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Contacting Plan Members and Service Providers for verifications within specified times
  • Following up with requests for additional information from the Plan Member or Service Provider when verification cannot be obtained
  • Tracking of all calls and outcomes
  • Referral of cases to the Investigative Services Unit or H&D Claims Operations Database
  • Qualifications :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and French
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to accuracy and details
  • Strong organizational and decision making skills
  • Ability to completed detailed tracking of all activities to support any follow up.
  • Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet stringent deadlines
  • Ability to operate effectively as a team member in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Education & Experience :

  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Experience having worked in a call-centre
