To give effective, visionary leadership to the overall ministry of Early Childhood (Infant-Kindergarten) at Alliance Community Church.
In partnership with the Pastor of Children’s Ministries this position is primarily about implementing a Holy Spirit lead Ministry Action Plan.
ACC Kids Vision for Sylvan Lake is that EVERY CHILD knows and follows Jesus, EVERY PARENT is equipped to disciple, and EVERY VOLUNTEER serves with passion and giftedness.

Core Responsibilites and Duties
Be the visible leader for all ACC Early Childhood Ministry
Recruit, coach, resource, train and encourage lay leaders serving in the Nursery / Toddler and Prek- Kindergarten areas.
Develop, maintain, and regularly communicate a rotation schedule for lay leaders serving in all areas of Early Childhood.
Organize curriculum materials and teaching teams and distribute to lay leaders in each of the Early Childhood areas.
Ensure understanding of curriculum and be prepared to help volunteers understand where needed. Be willing and able to teach in both a small group and large group setting.
Provide weekly communication to lay leaders and parents.
Attend Family Ministry weekly team meetings.
Ensure ACC’s Early Childhood facilities are prepared and stocked for weekend ministry. Organize, clean, and maintain the resource and ministry rooms and areas.
This includes the regular cleaning of toys.
Implement safety plans and procedures with all children and workers.
Assist in the implementation of any ACC’s Kids family or outreach events.
Train volunteers as needed, either one-on-one, in small groups or in a workshop setting.
Maintain Plan To Protect Files for Early Childhood Volunteers
Other Responsibilities :
Participate in training and equipping opportunities made available by ACC.
Attend leadership team meetings, as requested by the Pastor of Children’s Ministries.
Assist in other ACC duties as assigned from time to time by the Pastor of Children’s Ministries.
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and believes the Bible to be God-breathed, inerrant and the foundational truth in a believer's life.
Demonstrate a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Spend regular time in personal Bible study, prayer & worship.
Display a passion to know, trust and follow Jesus.
Be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit in his / her life and ministry, allowing the Spirit to have free reign in his / her leadership and teaching, with a central focus on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual gifting’s should include : leadership, administration, evangelism and teaching.
Be willing to equip others to use their spiritual gifts.
Live an exemplary life based on clear biblical principles.
Support and commit to C&MA Statement of Faith and also support the global and district ministries and missions of the C&MA.
Support and commit to the church's Constitution and Vision Statement and become a member of ACC
Possess strong administrative, teaching, leadership, evangelistic and discipleship skills.
Have the ability to develop and mentor lay leaders
Demonstrate expertise in vision casting and recruiting volunteers into ministry.
Accredited with the C&MA or education and experience and testimony that will qualify the individual to be accredited with the C&MA.
Previous exposure of children’s ministry is preferred.
Ensure a clear job description and expectation is communicated and understood for each position (eg. Student leaders, lay leaders).
Monitor team effectiveness through connecting with key lay leaders in each ministry area.
Be actively involved in a peer accountability group.
Give evidence of a strong healthy family relationship.
Be self-motivated, proactive and willing to take steps of faith when led to do so by God.
Exhibit characteristics of warmth, friendliness, empathy and sincerity; exhibit the fruit of the Spirit.
Be committed to local, national and international missions.
