The Bell Business Markets marketing team is currently recruiting for a dynamic; results focused Product Owner to lead the SD-WAN portfolio.
Role Summary :
The SD-WAN Product Owner is responsible for the product vision, the business plan, and the revenue and / or cost savings generated by the business plan.
This person is empowered to make big things happen; setting the course for Bell’s network transformation utilizing SDN and NFV technology to deliver a next-
generation on-demand customer experience.
The Product Owner has full responsibility for developing and managing the overall SD-WAN product experience that will be used by Canadian Large and Mid-
size Businesses. This will include identifying requirements that will differentiate Bell and translate these into a prioritized product development roadmap that will maximize return on investment (ROI).
To deliver on these objectives, the candidate will partner with customers. sales and marketing teams to collect requirements, and lead the internal development team as the voice of the customer.
The successful candidate will :
Define and drive the SD-WAN portfolio and manage the release schedule backlog with the associated scrum team while optimizing operating cost and ROI for the company
Deliver on product revenue objectives and the profitability (EBITDA) objectives, including business cases development, forecasting and managing demand for the product and features
Act as the SD-WAN President , driving the product vision, providing leadership and passion for all product elements the core product and feature set, the sales, ordering & billing experience, the installation and repair experience, user guides, etc.
Build and maintain in-depth understanding of the competitive environment and the opportunities for Bell to differentiate.
Develop Service Description and Product Charters for new products and features, focused on customer experience, including performance, quality and user experience
Working with the key delivery teams and acting as the Product Owner to ensure service description and requirements are properly delivered, on time and on schedule
Partner with marketing to develop value propositions, sales tools and collateral
Lead the implementation of new product introduction initiatives as the project sponsor
Effectively communicate our unique selling proposition to sales teams, partners and customers
Represent Bell Business Markets at key customer events including high level meetings, seminars, trade shows, etc.
Foster a collaborative culture that values strong team work and inspires a high level of performance
Given the strategic nature of this role, this position requires strong technical and business acumen and proven ability to engage at the senior levels internally and with clients.
The ability to articulate and manage at the conceptual level as well as to dive deep into the solution details when required is critical to the role.
Skills and Competencies :

An expert in Software development principles, particularly as it relates to Cloud Applications
Experience with cloud based technologies, such as virtualization, automation and orchestration technologies, OpentStack, VMWare, HyperV, SDN and NFV
Product Management experience with some or all of the following products and services : SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, MPLS, WAN Optimization, IP-
VPN, VPN, Ethernet connectivity
Extensive product management experience working for a national or international Telecom Carrier / ISP offering Data centric solutions to business customers
Excellent communication skills and tenacity; the product manager will need to affect change in cross-functional areas where there is no direct management accountability
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically
A hunger to embrace new technologies and define how they can help Canadian businesses

Ability to foster innovation and drive change

Experience with cloud based technologies, including virtualization, automation and orchestration technologies, OpentStack, VMWare, HyperV, SDN and NFV
Experience required :
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical product sales or services or product development
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
