The Role :

  • Responsible for the day-to-day support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 after retail proof of concept complete
  • Reviewing and partnering with Finance / Retail Team to resolve any production support issues that may arise
  • Understand the overall processes throughout the Finance / Retail function and provide Functional and Technical expertise of Dynamics 365 to ensure the team is efficiently and effectively implementing sound solutions
  • Responsible for implementing enhancements, configuration changes, reports and integrations within 365 to meet business objectives
  • Conduct system / user testing to mitigate risks associated with implementation / enhancements of systems and processes
  • Generate and update system and process documentation as needed
  • Partner with the business units to develop an understanding of their business processes, assess end user needs and evaluate proposed system related projects
  • Utilize expertise of application features to recommend solutions that meet business requirements and resolve questions related to process changes impacting applications.
  • Provide ongoing system support, make decisions that best resolves product related issues and appropriately escalate issues that require IT and / or business unit management involvement.
  • Document high level and detailed accounting functional requirements, functional designs, including business process flow charts, current state, future state, gaps, training materials, and end user documentation
  • Create test plans for implemented software and provide training on software changes when appropriate
  • Test the accuracy and completeness of all enhancements and customizations of Dynamics 365
  • Special projects and related duties as required
  • The Ideal Candidate :

  • College diploma or university degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
  • An accounting designation would be a strong asset
  • 5 plus years as a Functional Lead or Business Systems Analyst of which at least 3 years working directly with Dynamics 365 / AX 2012 Financials
  • Minimum of 2 years Retail POS experience with Dynamics AX 2012
  • Participation in at least 2 full-cycle implementations of Dynamics AX 2012
  • Functional implementation, optimization & support experience for a large Retail / Distribution Organization spread across US / Canada
  • Strong analytical, customer service and problem solving abilities
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams
