  • Troubleshoot optical lens assemblies and perform applicable mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Perform incoming and outgoing testing on lens / camera, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA), Hand Controllers (HC) and various other assemblies
  • Perform electronic assembly on sub-assemblies to required quality and quantity outputs
  • Perform parts installation, wiring, cable, harnessing and hand soldering
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to component level
  • Testing of electronic control boxes
  • Repair or rework on existing assemblies
  • Generate quotes and estimates for labour and material
  • Some travel required between Burlington and Don Mills facilities (approx. 10% max)
  • Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 or AS 9100 quality standards an asset
  • Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering and surface mount soldering, crimping and wire routing
  • Knowledge of various test and measurement instruments
  • Knowledge of Optical Lens Assemblies an asset
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office suite)
  • Experience & Education Requirements

  • Community College Diploma relevant to electronics or electro-optical technology
  • 5 years relevant experience the manufacture, repair and test of Electro mechanical and Electro-optical sub-assemblies
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
