In the role of Financial Analyst, you will be working in a fast paced and growing team environment. In this role you will report into the FP&A Manager and assist in the critical financial monitoring and analysis for the Program Management team as well as the VP, Programs and Mission Systems on a daily basis.

This is a high profile role in which the incumbent will participate in monthly program review meetings with the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • Management and ownership of EAC process and analysis for funded programs
  • Finance support for PMO and related projects on an as needed basis.
  • Work with costing on program reporting issues to ensure correction of programs and accurate reporting
  • Development and analysis of program financial information for monthly PMR reviews
  • Upon reward of contract, establish contract baseline costs by element of cost (direct, labour, material overhead)
  • Responsible for the creation and accuracy of monthly reporting to support development of EACs
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal / external auditors upon request
  • Assist with creation and posting of monthly revenue and CM journal entries
  • Responsible for warranty and commissions accruals for programs
  • Attend weekly revenue meetings with PMO, Finance, Ops
  • Providing financial analysis support to PMO on programs which do not require an EAC.
  • Desired Skills

  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint (MS Office)
  • Experience in project accounting an asset
  • Strong database skills (preferably SQL)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player attitude, ability to develop strong working relationships with related key managers and support staff
  • Strong process improvement orientation
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to urgent business requests
  • Open, honest customer centric attitude
  • Desired Experience and Education

  • Minimum 3 years' experience
  • Obtained or working towards CPA Certification
