The Recruiter will be responsible for working with the Human Resources team to support the hiring needs for Teck’s Corporate groups.

Responsibilities :

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Utilize the full recruitment lifecycle to ensure the highest quality of candidates are placed
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Hiring Managers and Human Resources team members
  • Conduct the full interview and selection process including shortlisting, pre-screening, interviewing, reference checking and candidate management
  • Maintain computer based recruitment tools, including online tracking systems, posting and advertising, job descriptions, interview profiles, screening criteria, selection documentation, applicant correspondence, job offer letters, and reports as needed
  • Liaise with Immigration Specialist, Global Mobility and Hiring Managers to best identify immigration and mobility considerations for potential hires
  • Use high level sourcing strategies, including Search Engine Marketing, online, social media, and attendance of career fairs and industry events
  • Ensure recruitment activities are carried out in compliance with local legislation and company best practice
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related area
  • Minimum 5 years of direct Recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience working on a variety of professional and technical positions
  • Previous experience in extractives or mining is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy, team based environment where superior interpersonal, social skills, communication skills and professional etiquette are required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must
  • Intermediate (preferably advanced) skills with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask, and manage priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate with very high levels of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
