Basic Purpose

Responsible for searching and developing sales within existing and new markets suited for the FWS Group. Responsibilities include facilitation of corporate growth through development and cultivation of relationships with existing and new high-

grade clients, with the goal of increasing total sales leads and top line revenue for the organization.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Accountable for budgeted achievement of gross margin and revenue targets
  • Cold Calling, prospecting, qualifying, closing and maintaining post sale relationships
  • Follow up on new leads resulting from industry news, trade show contacts, field activity
  • Call on new potential clients / leads and present FWS’s value proposition & builds relationships with potential key clients
  • Prepare action plan for assigned territory or market segment
  • Assumes a commitment to a team based approach; where the representative works with the rest of the Business Development team and leadership to ensure a rigorous planning and commitment process.
  • This involves on-going team meetings that engage the key customer and sales management tools

  • Attend Trade shows, seek new knowledge, new connections
  • Maintain sales materials and learn the company culture & attend sales meetings
  • Maintain the company Customer Relationship Management tool daily
  • Work with Business Development team to move the opportunity to a project phase
  • Actively promote the company through various channels including social media, presentations
  • Represent the customer issues at all levels of FWS and participate in the project development process to ensure that the proposal properly addresses the customer’s expectations
  • All FWS employees commit to a high level of safety practices and personal behaviours, which is a non-negotiable principle and part of the FWS Way
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in B2B and / or knowledge in the Design-Build construction industry
  • Sales Training, college or university courses preferred
  • Good public relation skills
  • Pleasant demeanour with an ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks while working within a team environment
  • Must be results driven & be able to work with limited supervision, be self-motivated
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills in customer relations
  • Ability to mentally deal with rejection associated in making daily cold calls
  • Strong computer skills are a requirement, including familiarity with much of software used by the Company including MS Office, Timberline, CRM Software
  • Must understand the concept and strive for win / win in all negotiations and relationships
  • Must be available for out of town travel
  • Other Information

  • Will be required to attend after hours’ company functions, meetings etc.
  • An ability to learn general and technical information about various industries
  • Involved in multiple projects at the same time
  • Extensive travel to worksites, tradeshows and client offices is required
